she earned All Big 12 and Academic Big 12 honors. Vassmer was also one of 50
softball players at the 2002 US Olympic Team Trials held in Chula Vista, CA. She
spent two summers with the Decatur Twister women’s major softball club
participating in the Canada Cup International softball tournament. As an instructor,
Sara has aided many camps and clinics for the University of Missouri, as well as
assisted with the first USSSA national tournament Combine in the summer of 2003.
She specializes in the fundamentals of slap hitting, drag bunting, and outfield
fielding skills. Sara also played for Stephen Leasure during her youth softball career.
